100 Streetlights will Be Installed in Island Settlements

Seribu Islands Industry and Energy Sub-dept. is about to install new streetlights on the whole island settlements this year. It is conducted to follow up local people's request that issued on Musrenbang.

"Streetlight will be installed at 100 spots. Especially at Love Bridge (Jembatan Cinta), we'll install 18 spots of decorative light," disclosed Melinda Sagala, Head of Seribu Islands Industry and Energy Sub-dept., Thursday (3/16).

Streetlight Control Room in C. Jakarta Began Operating

He explains the type of the lamp would use light emitting diode (LED). It is targeted to be installed in April 2017 through self-managed funds.

"We've entered consolidation auction contract for procurement of poles, panels, ornament bars and supporting material," he expressed.

She added, thus far, four out of six consolidation auctions have been entering procurement contract for panels, poles, cables and decorative lights.

"After this, we will set the shipment schedule to the island the weather is good," he finished.
